Comments on: 3.1 Jailbreak for 2g/3g

I have an ipod touch with 3.1.3 version. I used Spirit to jailbreak and after the Spirit screen said the jailbreak was successfulits hung on a screen that I’ve never seen before. It’s sort of fractal image with a load circle spinning in the center. That’s been going on for over 30 minutes. I tried installing Rain, but got a dll error. I can’t find a Blog post that tells me what to do. Can anyone help?

if its bricked or stuck on iphone logo u can downgrade from 3.1 3.0.1 by simply restoring to 3.0 with shift enter or option u must have the firmware 3.0 and u can doit ull have ur phone back i do this for people that brick there phone its easy that a baby can doit.

Hi ppl nothing to do with this pawnage thing but a bit of info for all you who had jailbroke on 3.0.1 and have updated to 3.1 in error and are waiting on redsnow to rejailbreak on windows os and who have not unlocked (I’m one of them who updated to 3.1 in error) I’m in uk and this is how I over come the jailbreak issue I contacted my local apple store and advised them that my phone kept on freezing they told me to back it up in iTunes and bring it in so they could do diagnostics on it they may tell u to do reset but tell them u have done this a few times and tell them u got new sim card too and it still does it before u go to them or send it back in post reset it to factory settings as they can’t do diagnostics they will send u another or give u one instore the new one I got was on 3.0.1 and older bb yeeehaaa jailbreak city worth a go

I’ve got an IPhone 3GS (firmware 3.1) the jailbreak works, but the winterboard doesn’t work. I’ve got the application on my phone and i can open it, but when i want to click on a theme nothing happens…

If you could email me the solution I’d really appreciate it.

I had my iPhone 3G jailbroken, I think the program used was pwnage (cannot remember now), something happened and my Youtube doesn’t work and when I try to update to another firmware it won’t let me.

Is there a guide or steps where I can update my version: 2.1(5f136) to the latest firmware so I can also have the latest apps installed, currently most of my apps are stuffing up and usually kicks me out.

Appreciate all the help I can get… thanks!!

OK guys, cut me some slack here. I’ve been a Windows Smartphone guy for years, and just yesterday made the switch to an iPhone. I have a 3G and before I knew anything about jailbreaking it, iTunes updated the firmware to 3.1. I’ve done nothing else to it yet. I’m running a Windows 7 laptop, and want to jailbreak my phone so I can load a custom University of Florida theme I’ve found. I’ve read several of the guides, and think RedSn0w is what I want to use. It doesn’t look like RedSn0w works with firmware 3.1 yet. Is this true? Is there another option (that works with windows) or do I need to chill and wait awhile? Thanks for any assistance.

man BBS i have jailbroken 2g iphone runing on fw 3.0
you recomended to not rush for the 3.1,ok
i tried now to jailbroke but the pwnage tool dosent build the cfw 3.1 on my lap PBG4,i must have intel mac?or i do something wrong?

restore it again using itunes and don’t check the activate phone on pwnage so that you can activate it in itunes using your official carrier sim
