I have paid for a few packages, "the old way", but only because they were worth it, now I'm sure a heap of the packages will have a cost, even for tiny add ons. This will probably lead to an Installous like thing for cydia. Which would lead to more incidences of piracy, because piracy would be easier. I’m against this, at least to an extent.

Apple is not the law, they are a company. Whether they like something is irrelevant. If anything, this makes the legality case even stronger as Apple could now be sued as a monopoly by trying to shut down competition. Before this, there was not a valid business case for jailbreaking.
