I have a jail-broken and unlocked 3Gs, firmware 3.01(7A400),

I cannot restore to 3.12 firware(snowbreez) in i-tune9 with window 7. I need to restore it emengrency since there have some virus in a software which i install, after remove it also send the oversea mms automatically. i try to jailbreak with cydia in purplesn0w. Anyone can help me to restore it without use itune and can jailbroken saftey

I have a jail broken and unlocked 3G, firmware 3.1.2(7D11), 5.11.07.

Due to the problem I describe below I believe my only option is to restore and then try to jailbreak and unlock again. I don’t have an image to restore from and I want to make sure I don’t accidentally restore to some version that won’t work. Can anyone point me to a safe file to restore from?

My root problem:
Cydia crashes due to a known problem with corrupt files. I don’t have openssh installed to fix the problem. I also don’t have mobileterminal, ifile or any other local app to fix the problem. Finally external file manager apps(Ifuntastic, etc) won’t work because I don’t have afc2add. Basically a big chicken and egg problem.

So i accidentally did the jailbreak without the 3.1.2 but now i dont no what to do because it doesnt install the 3.1.2… am i going to be able to still jailbreak ? help please

Hey, For the last 3 days I’ve been trying to jailbreak my brand new ipod touch 3g 32gb that i bought on dec, 27. The model is MC008LL and it was made on the 48th week so OS3.1.2 came installed. First i tried using my dell laptop with vista (basic) and i followed all the different instructions out there, for blackra1n, religiously but my ipod keeps getting stuck in dfu mode when blackra1n says “entering recovery mode” and nothing more happens. yes the compatibility is set to XP and no itunes related programs are running. Then I tried doing it on my desktop with windows XP (Professional) but here the ipod gets stuck at a blank black screen when the blackra1n program says “done, wait for reboot” and the guys face never showed up either. Once though after a couple of times the guys face did show up and i got excited thinking it finally worked but when it rebooted it got stuck at the black screen again..i kept trying again and again but that never happened again it just keeps getting stuck at the black screen…I’m frustrated and starting to think maybe my ipod is just too new and i gotta wait for a new jb program. So can someone please respond to my situation..even if you don’t know, respond by saying something like “sorry, I don’t know” so i can atleast know you read this. Thank you.

Hi actually I’m try to unlock of 3gs iPhone 3.1.2 firmware locked with UK’s orange network once I install the blackran in iPhone it is going to the restore mode why? Hw I’m I suppose to unlock it. I would put phone in DFU mode, update phone with 3.1.2
Download blackra1n RC3 from blackra1n.com
Connect iPhone to computer, go into your Task Manager (control + alt + delete) go to processes and stop itunehelp process. Run blackra1n on your xp computer, watch your screen it will change when process is running. After your phone finish jailbreak and reboot your phone is jailbroken, now you need to run blackra1n within your phone that was installed during jailbreaking process. Choose to install Cydia and/or Rock (I would go with just Cydia).
After Cydia is installed, leave your phone in airplane mode but turn on the Wifi. Start Cydia and let it update. After update go to Manage and add blackra1n.com repo, after Cydia is done adding repo look for blacksn0w and install that. After it is done installing shut down iPhone, put in the sim card you want and restart iPhone. Your device should be jailbroken + unlocked + activated, just turn off the airplane mode and you are set.
This is what I did with my iPhone and worked, problem is sound is all weird… Will probably try to run this process again when I get home.

The instruction needs to be updated.
Update phone per instructed in the guide, download blackra1n from blackra1n.com. Run blackra1n (with ituneshelp shut off) on computer, iphone reboot then run blackra1n in iPhone.
Sn0w is now not within blackra1n to install, you can only install Cydia or Rockapps.
One must install Cydia, then go into Cydia to add blackra1n.com repo
Once reloaded install blacksn0w to unlock and activate the phone.

hi all…..i’ve tried to jailbreak my 8gb 3G OS3.1 with blackra1n but it does nothing…it says that its done & wait for reboot..but it never does…using windows xp..have removed sim card & no different…any suggestions?

Tried to Jailbreak 3GS with Blackrain RC3 and was successful but when i download SB settings and others like winterboard in goes into the DFU mode and i will need to “make it rain again” to go working again. I’m i doing anything wrong with Jailbreaking and unlocking? I need help….and my 3G works well with no problem. HELP please!!!

Can somebody make an upgraded version of bosstool that works with os 3.0 . I have a 2nd geN iPhone and the most memory that can ever get is about 42mg.
