They leave the old versions up as archive as iRealSMS 1.3 only works on 1.X firmware iRealSMS 2.0 works on 2.X and 3.X firmware iRealSMS 3.0 only works on 3.X firmware and iRealQuickSMS works on 2.X and 3.X firmware but is only a lite version of the product... not nearly as good as the iRealSMS 3.0 app You are probably looking at iRealQuickSMS version 1.0.3.1… this is a different application

You are simply forcing the phone to boot a modified firmware package that is already present. Each subsequent time, the progam is ONLY used to BOOT the firmware, it does not modify anything.
