this has also been requested. for example: if the popup shows you static.google.com as hostname this         will create *google.com/*.google.com (instead of the previous *static.google.com/*.static.google.com)

- fixed a bug in 1.31

new in 1.30:

- set rules in *host- and *.host-format in the popup

usually you would set a rule for a hostname like google.com. but if you choose *host you’ll set a rule for all hostnames which end with (in this example) google.com (xyz.google.com, …). *.hosts adds a rule only for subdomains.

- option to block connections of specific apps if NOT on WiFi

this will help you save you money. if you don’t want any app to access the internet while you are using 3G/EDGE just enable this option. (Note: there is a also a global switch for that in the (i)nfo view which will override app-specific settings)

- many improvements for UDP connections

this will fix issues with Skype and a few other apps which rely on UDP

• WhoIs: when FiP’s main popup appears you’ll see that the hostname is now in a button. when you tap the button a new view will appear containing the the whoIs-info for the domain/IP (if available)

Now you’ll always know who the host belongs to, even if “only” the IP is shown in the popup.

• allow/deny connection for this session (the connection is allowed/denied till you exit the app)

A feature requested by many. So you don’t have to tap allow once too often ;)

• a second theme for the popup (can be changed in the info view)
• if you are in a host view (any allow/deny table) you can now edit the hostnames if you put the table into edit mode (simply tab on the hostname in edit mode).

• manually add hostnames to allow/deny for an app
• the allow/deny for an app now supports also the *host.com notation (like global allow/deny). meaning that if you change a hostname to *hostname.com the host and all subdomains will be affected. if you use *.hostname.com only subdomains will be affected).

Firewall iP allows you to block outgoing connections (TCP & UDP). It hooks into applications from AppStore and Cydia. Firewall iP will alert you if the app wants to establish a connection to a host and shows you the hostname. Then you have the options to allow/deny the connection once/always or allow/deny all connections for the application.

You can decide if the application will send data. Developers will no longer be able to collect stats about you (UDID, phone number, usage statistics…) or even collect personal data. With Firewall iP you can cover all app analytic providers which aren’t in PrivaCy and also custom analytics.

You can block some content too. Now you are the one who decides!

In the control app you can edit the rules for each 3rd party application as well as add new applications to the list. It also offers a switch to disable Firewall iP and a SBSettingsToggle for the same purpose.

Cydia itself is excluded for obvious reasons.
