3G Unrestrictor allows FaceTime on 3G!
We all love Apple and their products so much, but every so often they and/or their partners just mess up hard time. One of those times was when Steve Jobs announced that the major iPhone 4 feature FaceTime would only be available on WiFi
But luckily we have the Jailbreak, which fixes Apple’s mistakes and makes your device what it was meant to be.
Starting today, 3G Unrestrictor allows you to make and receive FaceTime calls over 3G wherever you are!
Because lets be realistic you want to connect with your loved ones while you are away and not while you have access to a wifi network you want have the freedom to see people whenever you feel like it without the restriction of a wifi network. Get 3G Unrestrictor from the Cydia Store and take that freedom back now!

It does work. I did it here successfully. If you could document what you tried and how you are sure it failed that would be helpful info.

Did you add “Phone (FaceTime)” to the list and reboot your phone? I don’t have anyone to test it with, but after I did that it will try connecting to FaceTime on 3G.

It rings as if it is working and then after 1 second it says Facetime call failed

Since I updated to the current version of 3G Unrestrictor, Facetime is no longer available on my phone!
The facetime switch is ON in Settings > Phone, but the Facetime button is gone at the bottom of my contacts detail. All I have is “Txt Message” and “Share Contact” at the bottom.
I iniitated a Facetime call from another phone and it never rang on my phone. Anyone has any idea on what to do? I guess I may have to try a full restore tonight.

This works for me for about 1 min. Then it freezes. My 3G coverage is great. Speeds are about 325 kb/s down and 125 kb/s up. Any ideas why this happens? Has anyone else been able to use face time with out it freezing?

How do you fix bugs? I downloaded this app it used to work fine but now everytime I trrynna open it to watch videos it doesn’t wanna open.

If you feel 3GUnrestrictor is responsible, removing it will cure any problem. However, your symptoms seem to suggest something else. Make sure you do all your essential updates in Cydia.

So am I the only one with FaceTime freezing with 3g unrestrictor? I’m hoping someone can help. Either way I’m thankful for all the dev scene has done.

exactly mike, we play alot for our phones and EVERYTHING else software and app wise SHOULD be free because of the sticker price of the phone

Greeting to all. I’ve done the upgrade on the 3G unristrictor, but I dont even see the application. Also, could it be because I cant get my 3G 3.1.3 wont sync with current version of iTunes. Help Anyone and Thank You !!!!

Well start giving up many hours of your time by developing an app and then give it to me. Even though you spent weeks developing it, I deserve it because of the sticker price of my iPhone. Is that how it works is it ? What planet are you from ?

Thanks. I coudln’t get Facetime back. I did a full restore and recovered a backup from the day before. All is fine now including Facetime over 3G with 3G Unrestrictor :)

Did you try a respring or reboot, it sometimes solve that kind of issues? If you have SBSettings installed check to ensure that the 3G Unrestrictor icon is not set to be hidden. Also if you have SBSettings installed, check in your Application Dock. Applications put in the SBSettings Dock are hidden by default.
Not sure about the 3.1.3 limitations and the current version of iTunes, I’m on 4.0.1, sorry.

I have been using my FaceTime with 3G and it works great!!! My husband and I use it, thankfully we don’t have any problems. Our babies can see there dad when they miss him.

Great app! Unless your useing it for FaceTime. Only works for about a min before call fails. If your buying this app for FaceTime, don’t bother! If for any other uses you may have it does work great! Hope maybe there will be a fix for FaceTime.

This does not work rite for me. After install it work good next day facetime did not work was waiting for activation. Uninstall and got facetime back. Hope they fix it. And facetime was the only reson i got it. To bad. So like some one else sed for facetime dont get it. Any othere program like youtube hd then you go to go. N sorry for my spelling.

I love this app, I have used it and it works great. It really helps show what your data network can handle. I don’t just use it on facetime, but I also use it for streaming High Quality YouTube Clips, streaming other video as well as skype! It is pretty fantastic and well worth the money :)
