iPicMyContacts will extend Apples contacts/favorites list by adding the contact picture next to the contact name. because iPicMyContacts integrates with Apples inner contacts list, it will also work on every application that uses Apples default contacts lists.
We know most of you don’t have pictures assigned to most of your contacts. Thats where iPicMyContacts come into action. by clicking the picture placeholder (not the table cell) next to the contact name you will be given a choice to search the web for the contact picture by automatically looking up images that match the contact full name. When the search is finished, you will be able to select the contact picture from a list of pictures. (simply clicking the found image will automatically set the contact picture)
iPicMyContacts will first search high profile sites, like Facebook and Twitter. so first picture results will probably match the contact you were looking for. :)

Why not just use Cyntact from Saurik (Jay Freeman) which existed for a long time ago, is perfectly stable, is optimized for all iOS versions, is cheaper ?
For finding my facebook friend pictures ? I can do that with the free facebook app on the app store.

Talk about buggy program (from googling the product):

the contact pictures feature is just a minor feature in the all “Quickly-Looking-And-Assigning-Pictures-From-Web” idea.
Other than that, just so you all know, the contacts pictures in the list was added by apple in iOS4, but was disabled for some reason.
iPicMyContacts releases this feature to the public.
so what you’re seen is an Apple original feature ! :)

People are not as dumb as you think: “nothing was copied from saurik.” copying isn’t just about source code. Your tweek basically provides:
A. Contact Pictures display. This is a a thing that Cyntact already did and does better, and is cheaper.
B. Contact Pictures select from a web search, which is useless for 99% of the people, since usually only facebook provides partial good results (even google images for the demo name you gave provides useless results). For that, the free facebook app from the App store already does a great and better job (and isn’t as buggy, since, well, it’s developed and maintained by them).
For those who don’t know the FaceBook sync feature it’s in the main menu -> friends -> sync button on top.

I Suggest you uninstall cyntact first.
And i guess mine uses less memory as it uses Apple hidden feature which should be very robust.

Im not sure where to post this, but i just restored my 3gs phone to 3.1.3 firmware without problems
BUT I none of my contacts, notes, calendar, book marks are to be found!. How can I do this manually? what is the location for this info and how can i get it back on my phone! Please help!!!

This happens for me also, thought I would go back to cyntact but the ipicmycontacts seems to have corrupted something as now both cyntact and ipic have black pictures.
I really don’t feel like redoing my iphone, but as I’m a perfectionist I guess I have to.

can you guys please a real facebook integration so you can logon to your facebook account and select the contact pic your self!! cause i think a lot of ppl like me that don’t use the full name for a contac or for example a friends name is Luis and we call him bobby and that the contact name!!

After installing ipicmycontact, I updated some pictures and the new pictures show in the contact list, but when I’m in a call with said contact, the old picture still appears.

ipicmycontacts doesnt work very well with whatsapp.. the contact picture doesnt appear and the alignment of the contact picture overlaps with the contact list.

I installed the app and at first it was working fine but then it got incredibly laggy and my phone froze. I turned it off and then back on but it stayed at the apple logo! I know that just before the addition of ipicmycontacts I had to reset my phone for an unrelated issue and it worked fine. HELP! I CAN’T GET MY PHONE WORKING!

This app worked fine for me until the last update, v1.90, since installing that update it’s messed my phonebook up pretty bad. With ipicmycontacts enabled, when I go to the Phone on my iPhone, I can see my favorites ok, but when I tap on Contacts, the Phone app crashes back to springboard, so I can not contact anyone that is not on my favorites. It’s also messed up Skype, when I tap the phonebook in Skype, it also crashes back to Springboard even when ipicmycontacts is turned off so now I can no longer use Skype. Is there any way I can uninstall this version and go back to the previous version? It was working just fine before the update. I sent the dev an email a few days ago but as yet I have had no response.

I got the Address Book/Phone App bug with 1.90 too. I didn’t try with Skype, but imagine that the bug affects any app that makes use of the Address Book.
I reported the problem via Cydia’s built-in tool and the problem appears to have now been fixed in 1.91.

A lot of my friends don’t use their real picture as a profile picture but most of them have uploaded a good picture of them in their facebook photo albums. Can this app grab photos from the facebook photo albums and then crop and resize the face part to use that face as a profile picture? If not, the this is an app that you MUST create!!!
