I believe the iSpazio source should be up if you update the source package to v0-3.1 or newer. He had some domain issues and his domain, ispazio.net seems to be “lost”. The package update just updates the source to use one of his other existing domains.

Its not BigBoss’s fault. iSpazio is apparently having some hosting issues. If you go to http://ispazio.net/ you’ll see that there is nothing at that domain. Its possible he’s changing servers or he accidentally let it expire and hasn’t realized it yet (or its taking time to switch the domain)
In any case, BigBoss can only point to iSpazio’s repo — they don’t run it. So if the repo itself is down, guess what, you’ll have to wait and hope it comes back up. This, by the way, is why we need a system to backup DEB files for offline installation of jailbroken software. Think Cydia itself can do this?

I’m wondering if there’s a way to decline installing updates. I know I can temporarily ignore, but once you back out of Cydia, you have the red alert with “x” number of updates that must be downloaded (if you want the alert to go away).

I can’t get any ispazio repository url to work in cydia. Their regular website is up, though.
I’ve sent a twitter tweet and a webform contact to them asking about cydia being down, but no response to either the last 24 hours.
This is a real shame, as ispazio hosts some pretty cool stuff; it’s gotta be pretty frustrating for a lot of people who can’t get to them for this extended period.

The ispazio repo is still down!
After checking whois information for the domains ispazio.net and ispaziorepo.com I found that both of the domains are hosted at bluehost.com!
Now I checked with bluehost.com (http://serverstatus.bluehost.com/) if there are any problems with these domains. The respone comes that the primary domain for ispazio.net and ispaziorepo.com is the domain cydiarepo.com!
Now if you type in cydiarepo.com in a browser you receive a message from bluehost.com that says cydiarepo.com is suspended!
I think this is where the problem lies… The master domain has expired and therefore the other domains as well! Their other domain (spaziocellulare.com) is NOT hosted by bluehost.com and therefore is not affected by this.
If anyone knows where to forward this info so that it reaches the guys behind the ispazio repo this might aid them fixing this problem!

It would be nice for BigBoss to please update the title of this post as its obvious that iSpazio is *NOT* back up at this time. Its been down for at least 72 hours.
From now on, I’m making sure I download every single deb file I intend to keep installed on my phone. I’d like to update to 2.2.1, but I would lose many applications.

if you want to install clippy without the repo
you can do so by just secure copying
Clippy to /Library/
Clippy.dylib to /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/
Clippy.plist to /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/

Keep in mind, guys, that iSpazio is putting up this server as a FREE service to the community. Yes, its frustrating when things go down and you cannot access those programs, but without the amazing work towards Jailbreaking this device and the *EXPENSIVE* task of running a software repo, no one would have access to those features.
Once its up, it should run better than ever. Until then, let’s be kind to iSpazio and wait just a while longer.

For all those wanting Clippy
install the following in cydia:
mobileTerminal
wget
go back to the springboard and start mobileterminal
type: su root
it will ask you for a password which should be alpine provided you havnt changed it
then type:
wget http://www.nino.me.uk/clippy_0.94_iphoneos-arm.deb
Then type:
dpkg -i clippy_0.94_iphoneos-arm.deb
that should be Clippy installed.

I found something that worked for me yesterday and today!! In Cydia under Sections go to Repositories and add the PwnCenter Repository. After it’s installed tap on it and scroll to All Sources and install it. Next restart Cydia and after you get the usual errors for the iSpazio Repo… do a search on your particular item. Mine worked… hope yours does too!!!

At 11:00am PST (-8 UTC), I have successfully downloaded Emoji and RandomRing from iSpazio!
Now remember, iSpazio was up when this blog post was originally posted. It went down again shortly after and has been down ever since (five days). As of right this minute, I *CAN* access the repo. Its unknown if it will stay up this time.
Try it for yourself. Hopefully others report success as well.

This is the crappiest thin I’ve ever seen. It’s been down for almost a week now, what’s wrong with them!? They should at least move their most downloaded apps to a server that’s still running since they’re incapable of making their own server run. I want rotation inhibitor. Live Clock. And I couple other favorites. But NOPE they can’t make a server run over FOUR DAYS at least. The heck is going on. And nobody has said anything or even knows from what I can tell. GET THAT REPO GOING.

Hi everyone, I too was getting the host unreachable error message. This is the solution I used and it works. Install RockApp found in Cydia. Once installed click on it. Assuming you are still on wifi, the app will quickly update. Now click on the option “whats new.” You should see several packages highlighted. At the top left hand corner click on the tab “Update all”. This will update Cydia with all the new updates. It seems all the repos are being updated through RockApp. Once the update is done, if you now restart Cydia, you will see that ispazio repo has been updated to the latest. Happy jailbreak.

From reading everyones post i think my Cydias app is stuffed too cause i cant install anything, if someone can let me know how i can install a video camera for recording… i got this iphone thinkin i could record videos which i realised i cant without a video app. can soemone help me with this please..many thnks,….i need it soon cause my wife is going into labour soon so i will need it in time before my girl is due. may thnks n wishing every1 a very merry Xmas n a happy NEW YEAR DIS YR…
