Your time is off. Fixing it should let Music Controls work.

I’ve had music controls since it was pandora controls, and have nothing but wonderful things to say about this true enhancement to iPhone. This happnes to be on my top 5 list, for reasons to jailbreak. Thanks Paul

Just installed the trial and am not getting any AVRCP functionality. Tried a reboot but still no ability to skip tracks forward or back. Also the play/pause functionality is intermittent.
April 8th, 2010 at 4:15 pm
Whoops. It looks like I partially messed this up with the trial version. I’ll be submitting an update for this issue ASAP.

Does it work with dtunes?

phoenix3200…. Can you post here when the trial version is fixed? I want to give it a go but would just need it for the AVRCP functions.
Thanks :)

Glad to hear you’re fixing the AVRCP for the trial version. I had the same experience, running 3.1.12. Installed and rebooted, but no song skipping functionality with bluetooth phones (I tested 3 pairs).
If you get this right, however, it’s definitely worth the $$ and I’ll be among the first to buy.
Thanks.

Phoneix, taking you at your word that this is a problem with the trial version, I put down my $4.99 and purchased.
I’m delighted to report that I now have AVRCP functionality!! Hooray and thanks. And where was this in Apple’s 4.0 preview? Remarkable.

I took the developer at his word and registered the app, and presto, full AVRCP functionality! Steve Jobs was sure making a deal of all these new features that we all have already… great app, has worked flawlessly for me.

Should be: Yes :)

I am quite confident that even if iPhone OS 4 will limit the functionality of Music Controls by providing Multi-tasking and lockscreen controls; there is still a need for Music Controls to continue because:
1- 3G, 2G and old iPod users will not have Apple’s Multi-Tasking.
2- OS 4 doesn’t look like it brings the cover art on the lockscreen like Music Controls does.
3- Multi-Tasking will be limited, which means developers of music streaming apps need to use new APIs to take advantage of it, and until they all become compatible I think MC can constantly be updated to support the apps which are not multitasking, and remove the Apps that become fully multitasked, lockscreen controlled & cover art displayed. Users can still disable the apps they do not want MC to be interfacing with in settings.
4- MC can come with two editions, one for OS 3.x & below (the current one) and new edition for OS 4.x (users do not need to buy additional license, only one is required).
5- There will be always a place for creation and innovation, new ideas to be implemented in Music Controls which Apple have not thought about yet, example: I always wanted to see a fully featured popup with mini cover art when I double tap the home button to bring Music Controls along with track information and everything instead of the current simple popup. I know the new Multi-Tasking is going to use the same double home button tapping as well, but I believe this can be customized later to any pressing/gestures we want to use in settings (or Activator maybe?).
Finally, I would like to thank Paul for my jailbreak number one tweaks app on Cydia ;)

As of April 14, still no AVRCP support in the trial version. Unlike others, I will be wait until the trial is fixed before I decide whether to register.

Are you SURE you have v1.2.0-2 installed, and started your trial period?
April 16th, 2010 at 11:44 am

As i said my earphones don’t have local volume controls and the iPhone’s volume slider doesn’t appear to work when routing audio to a BT stereo headset.
can someone please try if it´s now possible with music controls to adjust the volume?

Hi, will all the functions work on the iPad too?
September 16th, 2010 at 9:16 am
Hi.
I can’t get the darn trial to activate.
When I press it the button turns blue and then hangs my settings screen to that state until my gayphone gets fed up with it and exits the menu.
So no way for me to test if my buttons work on the bt. :(
I use OS 3.1.2
When I reboot my phone I get a message about checking compability and then I get told that I have no internet access which I have. :/

Hi ! Just downloaded the fine app Music Controls, Version 1.3 , but I have issue, when I answer a incoming call, then hang up, the sound is on iPhone speakers not on my headset, Do I have wrong setup, or is it a small bug.

Hi,
Really need an updated version of Music controls that works on ipod touch OS 4.3.5. I was up all night trying to downgrade to 4.3.3. Got it working, including music controls. Tried it in my car and I could use the steering-wheel-buttons to skip through songs in Spotify. I was in heaven.. until the ipod went to sleep, and never wakened again.. Found out that I simply can’t downgrade, so now my only hope is that you soon release an update of Music controls that will work on 4.3.5. If it works I will definetely buy it, and recommend it to all my freinds!
Thanks :-)

i’m using a nokia BH_601 headphones, Bluetooth 1.2 AVRCP 1.0 and when i paired this ones with my iphone 3Gs, everything works but the forward backward buttons only work for the six first tracks, when i am going to use one of this buttons it does nothing. i have to power off the headphones and paired again and it works for another six tracks.. i have a sony headphones and with this set it works perfectly. i guess is because those works with bluetooth 2.1.
is ther some way to fix this and make it work with a 1.2 bluetooth device?
thanks in advance
