I have created an all-in-one-place jailbreak table for everyone. You can simply pick your device and firmware in the chart and at a glance, you can see if your device can be jailbroken and by which tools. Clicking the links in the box then sends you to the updated guides for that device as well as the downloads for your OS to accomplish the task. Hope it is helpful to everyone.

First of all, thanks for the list!
It seems it has a few errors though.
redsn0w can’t jailbreak 3.1.3 on a 3GS and when speaking of redsn0w 0.9.x it’s generally 0.9.2 and 0.9.3 that is to be used as 0.9.4 was made specifically for the ipt2g old bootrom.
Jailbreaking 3.1 and 3.1.2 is done with redsn0w 0.9.x as 0.8 is for 3.0.x

Thank you for your comment. I updated the chart recently. Redsn0w 0.9.4 is plenty fine to use. Since it’s what I have the download link for (you will notice it is getting difficult to find direct download links for some redsn0w versions now), it is the version I suggest.

Those who updated to 3.1.3 will find their iphone unlockable – according to the table.
But it´s possible to remove 3.1.2 baseband.
Please add that information!

I have a 3GS still running 3.0.1. I’m unlocked and jailbroken. My phone has a model #MC143C, a baseband ICE2-04.26.08, bootloader 06.04. A SHSH file on Cydia for 3.1.2 and 3.1.3. Is it possible to upgrade to 3.1.3 then downgrade to 3.1.2 so I can unlock and jailbreak? I need my phone to be unlocked as I have service in more than one country.

In short, you should stay on 3.0.1 until a 4.0 jailbreak *and unlock* come out. There are some ways to get you to 3.1.2 (do not go to 3.1.3) but then you’ll be using blacksn0w which is not stable like ultrasn0w.

Dean x: the same I did for my 3gs: use pwnagetool (if you have a mac) or sn0wbreeze for windows to restore to 3.1.3 using the same 4.26 Baseband and then use ultrasn0w again.
Or restore to 3.1.2 and then use redsn0w to jailbreak and then blacksn0w to unlock the 5.11 baseband ( use from cydia.pushfix.inf repo – doesn’t have the wifi problem).
I prefer ultrasn0w.

… my suggestion to colour-pattern.
indeed, RED shows 2 important facts:
- not released (=watch up: don´t upgrade if firmware is out)
- no unlock (=watch up: firmware upgrade kills unlock, which may beimportant )
But RED also shows “does not exist”: Better use BLACK because less important.
… an the text order:
Now the red “No unlock” is last line, and may be seen valid to the last JB-Tool above only.
Better move no unlock in the line under Jailbrak.
