Edit: May 6th #3.
I released this publicly at 3.0.9-11 and toggles 3.0.6-9. Sorry to you iPad 3g owners, I cannot fix those issues until I get my iPad 3g which is over 10 days away. In the meantime, I reenabled phone toggle (without any other modifications) so hopefully you can use that to disable data radio.
I fixed the lag when enabling rotation and added a no animation button to not animate the main window (by request).
————————————————————————————-
Edit: May 5th #2.
People keep reporting that the phone toggle is not available in the iPad. Yes, the iPad doesn’t have a phone. It seemed silly to me that anyone would notice this or care until someone on IRC pointed out that this was the only way to disable the cellular radio and actually turn it off. That made sense. So ok, I have modified the data toggle to (hopefully) use airplane mode with wifi only when toggled off (on an ipad and behaves the old way on an iphone). So you can use the data toggle for this. It will put an airplane symbol in the statusbar but you will (should) still have wifi. Unfortunately, my 3g iPad is 10 days out from arriving so it’s probably the best I can do without having the device.
Thanks to the same individual on irc (goes by IRQ), I was able to fix the 3g toggle not showing up on 3g ipads.
Also, all bug reports should be based on SBSettings 3.0.9-8 and SBSettings toggles 3.0.6-6 (or newer).
————————————————————————————-
Edit: May 5th.
Thanks to all your reports and emails. I have fixed the following thanks to you guys in sbsettings v3.0.9-5 and the toggle pack 3.0.6-3:
- Fast notes crash. It should now show keyboard and work again.
- All widgets / toggles I own center on the window including the dock, processes, wifi (on hold), fast notes, and brightness. (Sorry, I cant do anything about widgets I dont own)
- Processes widget should load and have icons
- Added option to more app to disable landscape. If you dont like the extra lag on open animation with the new rotate feature, then go disable landscape and it will be back to how it was although it won’t rotate.
- Window centers – you can disable this in the more app under extras
- I signed the more app with ldid, so it should stop crashing for those of you that had issues.
- For ipad users, added ip address on statusbar option. Enable in more app under extras.
————————————————————————————-
So SBSettings v3.0.9-1 is in the beta repo for testing. I have a lot of pressure to release this for ipad users so it will be a short beta and this version is likely to just move into the main repo soon. If anyone wants to test it, remembering it’s beta, add http://thebigboss.org/betarepo to your cydia sources and update the toggle pack and sbsettings. Here are the changes:
1) SBSettings window rotates to landscape. This feature was done for ipad. But it also works on iPhones. Requires the statusbar to be rotated so an app rotated or sbrotator installed. On iPhones, the window is too long to fit so the bottom part scrolls off the screen. I do not ever plan to fix this. Also, window does not rotate live. It comes down in whatever orientation your statusbar is in at the time you call it.
2) Fixed ipad bug that causes ipod mode on your ipad after a reboot. (This was what saurik had in big red writing). Note other extensions may cause this besides mine.
3) Adjusted some of the toggles for ipad such as 3g and phone to show up as incompatible with ipad. 3g should show up on a 3g ipad, but dont have one to test.
4) Fixed dock and processes widget crash on ipad or iphone 4.0 while trying to get an icon.
5) Modified the respring function to rebuild the cache using uicache. This is the only way to get icons to show up on 3.2 and 4.0.
Categories update is there also and only adds the uicache feature for 3.2/4.0.

Thank you, landscape mode works great!
Processes toggle still crashed though…
May 4th, 2010 at 7:14 am
Sorry. forget to update the toggles.
Everything works great!
May 4th, 2010 at 8:13 am
Thanks for the update. Seems like there is a scrolling lag on my 3GS. The scroll animation is choppy
May 4th, 2010 at 8:23 am
Great news! Its nice to see how all the major devs in the community seem to be coming together on these big jailbreak releases. It just goes to show how big the “jailbreak” has become. Great work BB.
May 4th, 2010 at 8:39 am
” On iPhones, the window is too long to fit so the bottom part scrolls off the screen. I do not ever plan to fix this.”
Hm… Can you please at least add option to turn off that for us non iPad users…
Anyway thanks for update BigBoss…
May 4th, 2010 at 11:01 am
since day one i thought the ipad was a turd… i fail to c the gap between the fon and laptop and im usually the kind of mindless consumer this product was intended for… the angle i didnt c but am starting to is what a pain in the ass this brick is turning my beloved cydia into… and im sure 4.0 will eventually force me to upgrade to a lot of programs that have to b stufft into fon and pad format… this sux from everyones perspective.. sbsettings is one of the best ever.. being raped by the abortion that is the ipad
May 4th, 2010 at 11:10 am
Just upgraded on my iPad and the ‘More’ portion of SBSettings just seems to crash back to SpringBoard. I also noticed that I still get the ‘iPod mode’ after a reboot, but as you said that can be because of another extension. Thank you for working as hard as you do because we all appreciate what you do for the jb community.
May 4th, 2010 at 1:20 pm
Anyone else get host unreachable when trying to add the beta repo?
May 4th, 2010 at 2:29 pm
There is a problem with beta repo
I cant add it to cydia :(
May 4th, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Please send a syslog of your more app crash output. As my post says, the reboot issue was caused by many extensions not just sbsettings. SBSettings portion is fixed. It will continue until all your extensions with this issue are fixed.
May 4th, 2010 at 4:06 pm
Site is busy due to new jailbreak. May be up and down. Just keep trying.
May 4th, 2010 at 4:33 pm
Thanks! I missed having the Processes button. Works great now. Haven’t tried a reboot yet, but am crossing my fingers. Thanks for the speedy update – SBSettings is my favorite thing about jail breaking!
May 4th, 2010 at 5:37 pm
Fast notes doesn’t work and causes safe mode. Also processes and fast notes opens at the left hand side instead of centered. Anyone else having the issue?
I can confirm that the 3G toggle also doesn’t work.
May 4th, 2010 at 5:46 pm
I will send a syslog when I get home from work. Thanks for the response.
May 4th, 2010 at 5:58 pm
how about unlocking software for iphone 3gs? thanx
May 4th, 2010 at 8:51 pm
The only person that has a 3g ipad that I know of is saying that the 3g toggle works fine to toggle between 3g and edge. 3g toggle has never been a data toggle.
May 4th, 2010 at 8:53 pm
While the user probably doesnt know this or care, toggles are not part of sbsettings. They are separate apps many written by 3rd parties. It will not be possible to have all the toggles open in the expected location. This is how “centering” the window will work. I have added the ability to disable window centering as a switch in 3.0.9-2 for anyone that would rather put the window back to 0,0 location (like me).
May 4th, 2010 at 9:12 pm
Where to send the crash report logs?
May 4th, 2010 at 9:21 pm
Still have the BIG iPod Touch look when reboot my iPad WiFi 16GB after upgarded to this beta version. With black wallpaper, small icons, long slider on LS and mini dock in the left bottom corner!?
Any clue?
May 4th, 2010 at 10:06 pm
updated to the beta sbsettings on my iphone 3gs , im only having an issue accessing the more features area. crashes everytime when it trys to initialize
May 4th, 2010 at 10:28 pm
Numeric-GSM: at 3.06 with quite stupid manner, e.g. -103.
More comprehensible now in 3.09 (positiv values, max 2 digits) ?
May 5th, 2010 at 12:55 am
same here on a 3GS, more crashes back to springboard
May 5th, 2010 at 1:48 am
the same on my 3g iPhone
May 5th, 2010 at 2:45 am
fixed in 3.0.9-3
thx bigboss
May 5th, 2010 at 6:35 am
Still can’t get brightness to work on my ipad. It forces safe mode. . .
May 5th, 2010 at 6:45 am
All my toggles are not showing up on 3G iPad. I can select them “ON” in MORE, but only getting 5 toggles even though I have 8 turned on.
May 5th, 2010 at 6:49 am
more info:
I can get 9 toggles max, it just wont display the following no matter what I do-
SSH
Phone
3G
May 5th, 2010 at 6:52 am
Thanks for the update BigBoss, great work.
I noticed since updating to beta, I lost the phone and 3g toggles on my iPad 3G. I know that the phone was probably not appropriate, but simply renaming it to airplane mode would make it sensible, IMO. I definitely liked having both of those toggles; they worked fine for me. Thanks
May 5th, 2010 at 6:57 am
UPDATE 2:
Now my 3G is totally disabled. Cant even turn it on in settings. I guess this is why the toggles dont show.. I’ll try an uninstall
May 5th, 2010 at 7:02 am
WARNING: I now have no access to 3G on iPad. I have uninstalled sbSettings and 3G is still greyed out in iPad SETTINGS and ipad is stuck in Airplane mode.
Any suggestions short of RESTORE.
May 5th, 2010 at 7:15 am
sorry, SSsettings turned on Airplane mode which greyed out Cellular. Cellular back, but since I uninstalled sbsettings I am now stuck in ipod mode and need to respring. How do I respring w/o sbsettings?
May 5th, 2010 at 7:41 am
Ok, back to normal…had to do some quick moves to reinstall sbsettings as I was stuck in ipod mode and couldnt access all the menus and load apps. Further a pop-up kept appearing which I couldnt select. Thanks for having sbsettings in Cydias “Featured Packages” section I was able to quickly drag up and select the app. otherwise the search at bottom was not accessible due to ipod mode.
SO- now I still dont have access to:
SSH
PHONE
3G
NOTE: Phone and 3G worked fine in previous beta, why are they not working now?
May 5th, 2010 at 7:50 am
SSH Toggle back, forgot to reinstall openSSH.
Its only the PHONE and 3G toggles that dont work.
May 5th, 2010 at 7:51 am
I guess ideally we want a “CELLULAR DATA” Toggle.
May 5th, 2010 at 8:04 am
Brightness still causes safe mode crash on the iPad after the last update.
May 5th, 2010 at 8:08 am
Yep, after that last update, the brightness toggle crashed my iPad. grrr. it was working just fine before
May 5th, 2010 at 8:08 am
Brightness does cause safe mode crash. FYI
May 5th, 2010 at 8:31 am
I find My “iPod giant look after reboot iPad” issue! It was NotifyPro app and is mobile substrate. switch it off and I´m rid of my all redo and replace icons after reboot.
May 5th, 2010 at 11:30 am
my brightness toggle cause my SB to crash and go into safe more. opening it is fine its when you try to change the brightness, otherwise working fine
May 5th, 2010 at 11:39 am
procees and dock still crashing. tried to unisntall rock ext. still no joy
May 5th, 2010 at 11:41 am
process and dock still crashing.
May 5th, 2010 at 11:51 am
fast notes is also a no go.
May 5th, 2010 at 12:01 pm
my version downloaded from cydia says 3.06!
May 5th, 2010 at 12:22 pm
When I click on the more button it crashes to springboard. I had 3.0.9-2 when it was happening. I installed the categories beta update and the more app worked. Now that I updated to 3.0.9-5 it stopped working again.
May 5th, 2010 at 12:59 pm
Brightness is causing a crash for me as well. I am sure that it will be all good in due time!
May 5th, 2010 at 1:37 pm
Right. Requesting a new toggle is unrelated to testing the current beta. iPad wifi model does not have a phone or 3g. That’s why those are not present nor should they be. There is no sbsettings toggle for airplane mode nor has there ever been. Using phone toggle for airplane mode on a wifi only device is inappropriate. You should use wifi. Since airplane mode disables phone and wifi and you don’t have phone, then just wifi toggle is sufficient for airplane mode. Nothing seems to be behaving incorrectly here. All your issues were likely caused by using an older version and disabling those buttons before updating when the buttons were gone.
May 5th, 2010 at 1:38 pm
Indeed, fixed in 3.0.6-4 toggle pack.
May 5th, 2010 at 1:38 pm
Yea, you havent updated to the beta versions so you’re not on the latest versions.
May 5th, 2010 at 1:40 pm
This one makes no sense. Updating categories won’t cause anything to change. The 3.0.9-2 had a code sign issue. I fixed it and released its fix last night. Since I cant reproduce any code sign problems here, I resigned the binary and updated 3.0.9-6 to be sure. Please try that one.
May 5th, 2010 at 1:49 pm
I am using a 3G iPad.
May 5th, 2010 at 1:55 pm
Just to be clear. I have a 3G iPad. I can no longer see the following toggles:
3G
Phone
These both worked fine in the second beta, since then they have disappeared and are not displayed when turned on in MORE.
May 5th, 2010 at 1:58 pm
To further clarify, the toggles are available to turn on, they just dont show up even though I have them turned on.
May 5th, 2010 at 2:08 pm
I do not get this, I go to Cydia search for sbs and when I install it states its 3.07 ver.
I am getting this error also: rep0666.ultrasn0w.com/.Release.gpg POSIX:Connection refused
May 5th, 2010 at 2:18 pm
see comments above, you are not seeing the beta. You need to add the Beta source.
May 5th, 2010 at 3:52 pm
SBSettings, the toggles or Categories beta has made my 3G iPhone lose all of its Winterboard capabilities. Everything enabled in Winterboard no longer works.
May 5th, 2010 at 3:55 pm
Check that, had to go into Winterboard and uncheck then check each individual thing and respring at its back to normal.
May 5th, 2010 at 5:21 pm
Yes, this is correct behavior (not a bug) as your device is not capable of these functions.
May 5th, 2010 at 5:21 pm
Should be fixed now.
May 5th, 2010 at 5:48 pm
brightness toggle has no issues now
May 5th, 2010 at 5:57 pm
Looks good now
May 5th, 2010 at 6:03 pm
Why isn’t my device capable?
I have a 3G device
May 5th, 2010 at 6:05 pm
Newest build- I now have 3G Toggle, still no PHONE toggle.
Note: I have 3G iPad
May 5th, 2010 at 7:57 pm
I have the latest BETA build version 3.0.9-5.
At first I’ve noticed that it had some issues hiding (change icon for blank spaces in sbsetting window) docked application for no reason.
Also the brightness toggle crashes the iPhone to safemode. All other toggles (process, calculator, phone, location, ssh, wi-fi & auto-lock) that I’ve tried show now issue.
I run a iPhone 3G with OS3.1.2.
I’ll try to reinstall the beta and also go back to the official release to confirm if the beta is the cause the problem.
May 5th, 2010 at 8:52 pm
SBSettings 3.0.9.7
Toggles 3.0.6-6
iPad 3G
Phone toggle does not display
moving any of the toggle positions does not work
May 5th, 2010 at 8:56 pm
iPad doesnt have a phone so no need for phone toggle.
Moving the positions works but you have to manually respring :( Interesting. This problem has existed for a while. Fixed now.
May 5th, 2010 at 8:56 pm
You aren’t running latest beta toggle pack.
May 5th, 2010 at 9:05 pm
I gotcha now…well phone toggle worked great in earlier version. How do we turn off “Cellular Data”?
May 5th, 2010 at 9:13 pm
Yea. Try the data toggle in 3.0.6-6 toggle pack. Also see if the toggle positions resprings for you in the more app in 3.0.9-8 I just posted.
May 5th, 2010 at 9:16 pm
positions work great, thanks. No love with data toggle though.
May 5th, 2010 at 9:17 pm
it needs to toggle the whole radio, it really is the same as the phone.
May 5th, 2010 at 9:38 pm
Yes, this was definitely my mistake and I hope it’s solved in the -6 toggle pack.
May 5th, 2010 at 9:39 pm
Can you be more specific? The airplane symbol doesnt show up when you hit it?
May 5th, 2010 at 9:42 pm
yes, the airplane symbol shows up. But it turns off the radio. The only difference between the ipad 3g and iphone is software to make a call. The ipad 3g has the same radio as an iphone.
Ideally we need a way to turn off this radio to save power when WiFi is available.
The two most used toggles for me would be wifi and 3G Radio (or phone)
May 5th, 2010 at 9:53 pm
Ok I just pushed toggle pack 3.0.6-7. I had the on and off backwards. The code in the data toggle is the same as in the phone toggle (for ipads), except its not called phone and it has a data icon and name. When you turn it off, you should get an airplane symbol and the wifi should continue to work. That’s also what the phone toggle probably did, right? That disables the cellular radio. If you want both off, you’d toggle data and wifi off. If you use 3g, that will just toggle off the 3g and let you use EDGE just like it did in the past. This is the desired behavior. Please tell me how actual behavior differs. Unfortunately, we are getting to the limit of what I will be able to accomplish without having an ipad 3g, which is about 10 days out.
May 5th, 2010 at 10:09 pm
Data toggle still not working.
After respring it is green, when I select the toggle it turns turns red (but radio stays on and no airplane symbol).
After this pushing it again does nothing and it stays red.
I am using the data toggle with the E in the middle…could this just be affecting the old Edge radio?
May 5th, 2010 at 10:10 pm
just curious, why cant we use the phone toggle? It worked in your first or second beta.
May 5th, 2010 at 10:16 pm
The ipad has no phone. In either case, the phone toggle also did “something” on regular wifi ipads and that would need to be changed around. That is also not right. In either case, I am not interested in having a phone toggle for a device that has no phone. What we need is a data toggle, which is what this is. I may try a couple more things before I give up until my 3g version shows up.
May 5th, 2010 at 10:22 pm
thanks for all the effort!!
May 5th, 2010 at 10:33 pm
btw- technically, the ipad does have a phone, it also has a phone number…but you are correct in that its not a “phone” in the since that you cant make a call.
Personally I too would prefer a “cellular data” toggle in place of a phone toggle…but I’ll take whatever works.
Apple calls the toggle in settings a “Cellular Data” toggle.
May 5th, 2010 at 10:33 pm
3.0.6-8 is up. Please install logmailer (and reboot) and toggle things / reproduce whatever is happening then send me the syslog.
May 5th, 2010 at 10:38 pm
I can sort of agree with that stance. But in that case, I need to make nearly the same modifications to the Phone toggle to prevent it from working on iPad without 3g and we’re back in the same boat. I consider this a cellular data toggle. But I don’t have room to put “cellular” so its just “data”.
May 5th, 2010 at 10:54 pm
log sent.
But—the data toggle wont display now.
I toggled 3G and wifi and sent log
May 5th, 2010 at 11:02 pm
ok, this might help. Just noticed that sbsettings displays 3G IP address only (wifi ip is blank) when both 3G and wifi are turned on.
Shouldnt Wifi be the default IP address if both are on?
May 5th, 2010 at 11:07 pm
thanks again for trying to get this fixed…its after 1am here, gotta get some sleep. Will test again in am.
May 6th, 2010 at 12:11 am
BB: “But I don’t have room to put “cellular” so its just “data”.”
You may rename it “cell” ?
May 6th, 2010 at 1:02 am
The latests beta version have a bit of lag when the window slides. I have a iPhone 3GS
May 6th, 2010 at 1:34 am
I found out why the more app was crashing for me. It was the enable at launch function of backgrounder that was causing it. If you set the enable at launch to on in global settings of backgrounder, the more app will crash. Turning this off will fix it. However, I would like to keep the function on and not have to turn it off to use the more app.
May 6th, 2010 at 2:54 am
This was covered in the post and change log. Disable the rotation feature in the more app if you dont like the lag.
May 6th, 2010 at 8:59 am
You fuckin bastards… Your last update put adds on sbsettings… Fuk You!
May 6th, 2010 at 9:06 am
^Umm its always had ads you fool.
BigBoss update seems to work good only issue im having is statusbar free memory seems not to update like before and sometimes it stays stuck at a number. iPhone 3g pwnage 3.1.2
May 6th, 2010 at 9:13 am
After toggling numeric wifi on/off. The wifi bars no longer appear after a cold boot or a power cycle sequence. Wifi works, but not wifi bars until I toggle the numeric wifi on/off, then the bars come back. This is on a wifi Ipad. Using version 3.09-8 (updated last night, so I don’t think I have 3.09-11)
May 6th, 2010 at 9:34 am
For 3G it should be:
Phone = airplane mode
Data = Cellular data toggle (new in iPad, separate from airplane mode)
3G = 3G toggle
May 6th, 2010 at 2:21 pm
I dont agree with this. Airplane mode in settings app disables both wifi and cellular radio. SBSettings has never had an airplane mode button. Instead, it separated it with phone and wifi. If you want airplane you use phone and wifi together.
The 3g iPad has no phone but it has cellular data. So airplane mode would disable cellular data and wifi. Again, we won’t have a real airplane mode button so to get airplane mode you’d disable cellular data and wifi.
In this case, there will be no difference between phone and cellular data since both will just disable the cellular data portion.
May 6th, 2010 at 2:22 pm
I have said this a few times, but I’ll say it again. The numeric battery, wifi, and gsm functions are part of springboard, written by apple, not part of sbsettings. SBSettings only turns these features on. How they behave, the numbers they show, that’s all from Apple and out of our control.
May 6th, 2010 at 3:19 pm
The status bar memory doesn’t update automatically when pressing the free memory button in Process. And the lag is still there in the latest update.
May 6th, 2010 at 3:35 pm
I just encountered a bug that my battery icon disappeared. It never happened before and the only thing I had updated is sbsettings, and just now I rebooted my iPhone, and some of the extensions seems to have been disabled and I am still figuring out what happened.
May 6th, 2010 at 4:09 pm
Thanks for the hard work
Sbsettings still is UNABLE to hide the iPod and Videos icons from the springboard.
I am using this iPad as a portfolio and want all things hidden except two apps. Thanks
Is this doable and if so how?
And if not will it be addressed in the next release?
Thanks
James.
May 6th, 2010 at 4:46 pm
BigBoss,
Please wait for your 3G and check it out. In the iPad Settings App:
Airplane = disables cellular on/off switch + disables cellular
Cellular data switch = enables/disables cellular
These two are two different switches in the iPad.
And so, your “Phone” should act as an Airplane Mode (this is what happens on iPhone, should also happen on iPad)
Your “Data” should act as Cellular Enable on iPad and same function on iPhone
And um, delete the EDGE toggle already :)
May 6th, 2010 at 4:47 pm
Oh and one more thing. On iPhone, Airplane mode DOES NOT disable Wifi. Try it. I use it all the time.
Same as on iPad.
May 6th, 2010 at 5:56 pm
I will look into it.
May 6th, 2010 at 5:56 pm
Sorry, but this isn’t sbsettings.
May 6th, 2010 at 6:22 pm
Boss please respond about the statusbar free memory issue. It was one of the best features of sbsettings and without it updating its useless….
May 6th, 2010 at 8:28 pm
I gotta agree completely. I’m going absolutely crazy knowing that the memory shown on the status bar is incorrect!
And another (very) small problem: when invoking SBSettings for the first time after a respring, it does not come down with an animation even when animation is ON, it just appears as if animations were off.
May 6th, 2010 at 10:15 pm
^WAs just gonna say that. Even with animations on the first launch is without anitmations. Let us know boss
May 6th, 2010 at 10:41 pm
I’ll look into the statusbar memory stuff. I see some possibilities but those things are not from this update (they have been this way for 2-3 updates since I did the 4.0 beta). It still updates but only when: 1) the clock changes every minute 2) The statusbar changes from light to dark (usually opening and closing an app that does this).
The window showing up after respring first time is just how things are now. Not going to worry about it.
May 6th, 2010 at 10:49 pm
Yep, fixed. I just got an ipad 3g so I’ll push it out with the ipad 3g fixes.
May 7th, 2010 at 7:41 am
Hi,
is there a way to have a VPN toggle button ?
regards
Fred
May 7th, 2010 at 7:42 am
Is anyone else having the iPhone mode issue again? It’s either sbsettings or the latest winter board update.
May 7th, 2010 at 8:43 am
“The window showing up after respring first time is just how things are now. Not going to worry about it.”
Tahts a lame way to look at it, sbsettings is the most important jailbreak app, it should work perfectly. please consider fixing the animation, even though its just cosmetic is does matter.
May 7th, 2010 at 10:46 am
I’m not saying anything about how the numeric features work, just that the wifi strength bars are totally missing, even though there’s internet connectivity and a valid IP. If I respring from within SBSettings, the bars come back. Doing the numeric wifi toggle on/off was just another way of the wifi bars re-appearing. But I upgraded to 3.09-11 last night and re-springing brings back the wifi bars. I guess the next step is to remove SBSettings to see if the behavior persists. It may be related to something else, but it didn’t happen until after I installed SBSettings BETA.
May 7th, 2010 at 4:34 pm
anyone else seeing this – ram is not updated on idle only on starting a new app (I mean ram showing in statusbar)
May 8th, 2010 at 4:32 am

On iPhone 3GS, you can access SBsettings through the lockscreen even if the iPhone is locked, is that a bug??? :S

Hi BigBoss,
The SSH toggle doesn’t seem to appear when I turn it on. Is there something I need to install?
May 9th, 2010 at 9:16 am
On 3G iPad, when the 3G is on and your connected to wifi, ip says n/A and the status bar ip shows the 3G ip address instead on the wifi ip.

I can’t get SBSettings to initiate the drop down menu on the iPad 3G.
Experienced user of SBSettings on iPhone 3GS.
Have added the beta source correctly, but the only SBSettings showing up in Cydia is 3.0.9-11.
Have tried all three methods, swiping, doble touch and two finger touch.
Anyone have any ideas?

BigBoss, thanks for this awesome app. Just wanted to highlight “LAUNCH IN LOCKED”, I haven’t really tested it, but I think if it is enabled, anyone can (1) launch Sbsettings, (2) respring the phone. And the respring brings us to an UNLOCKED phone, which means this is a very simple way to defeat the passcode/lockscreen. •Apologies if this is incorrect, I just wanted to highlight a potential security issue• =)

SBSettings is crashing when I access the “More” function on my 3GS on 3.1.3, Spirit jailbreak, on AT&T. Any idea what could be causing this? It was working fine until I attempted to install an SBSettings theme through Cydia. I’ve already tried completely uninstalling and manually removing any SBSettings remnant files left behind.
Here’s some of my syslog:
Detecting SBSettings more app crashed last run
UIKitApplication:com.iptm.bigboss.sbsettings[0x398c] Exited abnormally: User defined signal 1
Application ‘SBSettings’ exited abnormally with signal 30: User defined signal 1

Minutes after my last post, I just figured out the “More” crashing issue was caused by Backgrounder. An update to Backgrounder was released today to fix this issue yay! :-)

After JB with Spirit on 3GS battery percentage shows 86% after reboot for few second and than 96% and I was told by ih8snow to use sbsetting battery percentage which also didn’t work for me.
Is there any fix in sbsetting needed or just the way it is

I’m using a new iPhone 3GS with OS 3.1.3 since April 2009. Spirit jailbreak was a breakthrough announcement. Thank you for this effort.
My primary motivation for the jailbreak is to stop the Edge communication. After successfully installing Spirit, updating Cydia and installing SBSettings 3.0.9-11 Edge seems to work independently from Toggles settings (EDGE on/off and Data on/off) and Springboard settings (EDGE red/green, Data red/green). The’E’ appears anyhow in the left upper corner of the iPhone. Only a Wi-Fi connection prevents EDGE to work.
Help is appreciated.

a) My problem persists even with SBSettings 3.0.11-1. I’m not able to disable the EDGE communication. New iPhone 3GS with OS 3.1.3. See also issue no. 80 above.
b) Not shure where to add this issue. Is there a forum for SBSetting 3.0.11?

Hi! I liked using the FastNotes in SBSettings, but since the 3.09 it loses data every time I close and restart it.
I’m running an iPhone 3G with OS 3.01. Perhaps its getting better when updating to OS 3.13. I just wanted to wait for OS 4 and thought you could be interested for future updates.

Hi,
I notice something, I don’t know if anyone else has the same problem.
When I choose RESPRING, my Iphone 3GS (both fw 3.1.2 and now 3.1.3) resprings normally but the ipod processe starts running (I can see it beside telephone process when I choose PROCESSES); i have to exit this process manually. If I am not mistaken, this is since the last to updates.
thank you for your help and BRAVO for SBSETTINGS, I use this since the very beginning!

I don’t know if it is just me or what, but I have seemed to notice that when I install SbSettings and then rotate my screen everything works fine until I try to move apps around. they jiggle normally but when I try to move one it gets messed up. It is like it still thinks it is in vertical mode because When i try to move it to the right in landscape mode it goes up.

My iPad after a reboot is still going into the Giant iPhone look. Has that been fixed? If so then should I just uninstall and the install it again? The only other thing I guess it could be is winterboard. Please advise. THanks

I recently discovered a security vulnerability involving sbsettings. It allows the user to bypass the lock screen without knowing the passcode. It is very simple to execute, just go to emergency call while in the lockscreen where sbsettings can be activated and chose respring. This resprings the iPhone but brings the user to the springboard instead of back to the lockscreen. I am very concerned about this as my family and friends know this exploit too and my only option is to uninstall sbsettings.
Bigboss, can you please patch this by making respring go to the lockscreen instead of the springboard?

… one bug in 3.0.11:
Although Data-toggle is red = Data rooming is disabled, the iPhones-settings still show Data rooming not disabled.

SBSettings is NOT working 4.0 GM (I’m on a jailbroken iPhone 3G).
June 9th, 2010 at 1:40 am
I report DBsettings top bar slide function is not working on 4.0 GM with Jailbroken 3G — the amount of memory is showing in the top bar, so processes must be running. I can’t get the window to popup though!
Please fix?
Thx for your great app!

hey guys,
i’m running sbsettings 3.0.12-14 (iphone 3g, fw 3.1.3)and it seems like there’s something wrong with the data connection. i usually turn 3g and edge off so the battery lasts longer, but since the last sbs-update the boottime for edge seems to be much shorter. tough it turns green i don’t have any connection to the internet and sometimes the phone reboots itself and i get to the lock screen. any experience with that? thx

Big Boss, i have a iphone 3GS on 3.1.3 firmware. i recently updated SBSettings and now i have a problem with my internet. The Date toggle used to be labeled EDGE and now its labeled as data. so when i turn my wifi off and turn DATA on like i used to do with EDGE, my internet isnt working. is there a solution to this? if anything i would love to go back to the version before the last update with the EDGE toggle. any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Whatever you did to sbsettings today, its perfect don’t upgrade because yesterday springboard crashed and I removed it immediately
August 5th, 2010 at 3:56 pm
Don’t know where to report this, but perhaps you already know. When putting the App Store app in the SBSettings dock and trying to download/install an app from the App Store, hitting the FREE or BUY button, then Install button, App Store will crash to the home screen. No prompt for itunes password, just a crash straight to the home screen. Until you remove the App Store app from the dock and leave it somewhere on springboard, you can’t download apps. Sbsettings 3.1.0

Hi. Not sure where to post. SBSettings does not initiate when cydia is open. My latest update was cydia’s framework. I’m assuming it’s the framework update ’cause I can’t initiate backgrounder or kirikae when I have cydia open. Any one else having this issue?
November 13th, 2010 at 1:41 pm
Yeah, this gave me grief, although at least for me the crashes only occur when the appstore app icon is removed/hidden from springboard i.e. no problem putting the icon the sbsettings dock, just can’t remove it from springboard or the appstore app crashes as you describe.
