I don’t see what the big deal is? Why would I want to use my $600 iphone as a mouse? Now if you had a mouse and keypad that worked WITH the iphone, I would be interested!

A bluetooth keyboard can already be used – natively using the iPad or using a cydia tweak for iPhone.
This is something completely different – turning my iPad into a wireless keyboard for my ps3, or controlling my pc wirelessly when using media centre on my tv is great.
A very useful app i think!

i hope they will release a version or another app that will enable the iphone to act as a graphic tablet for pc/mac. then this would really interest me.

This comes in very handy when I hook up laptop to my tv and want to control it from across the room sitting on the couch. A little pricey but it beats buying a real BT keybourd. Only problem I have is when the app is closed it seems to keep the BT on even when I turn BT off. Whenever I turn on my laptop it tells me a BT device is trying to connect. I know in order to do its thing it controls your BT seperate from the apple controls, But it seems to be an extra drain on battery and they need to limit the BT control to when the app is open.
Love the app just hope they can fix this in a future update.

Thanks for all the comments. Yes, we’ll be adding arrows keys and the missing PS3 buttons in the next update schedules for end of January.
If you wait 20 seconds after leaving the app, the BTstack daemon will fully shut down Bluetooth and not drain extra energy. Will be improving power management in BTstack next, too.

^ Doesn’t look like it, hopefully they will add loads of functions to control the ps3 like an extra tab like the keyboard tab or something, that would be awesome, or a ps3 mode!

Great app, just what i needed. Only missing the ps3 buttons for now. when i want to stop a movie or select another one, it is just not possible.
I’ve already tested all the apps to make my iphone control my pc, and this is the only one that doesen’t need any server on the targeted machine.
Just awesome.
Can’t wait for the release with ps3 functions.

I just love it! Its the first .deb in cydia store I considered worth buying!
I hope more ps3 functionality and less lag in cursor movement if possible.
I also ecperienced a bug when using backspace in webbrowser (ps3):
When backspacing, webe just doesent do anything after I have backspaced like 10-15 characters, but it works again when I tilt my device (3gs iOS 4.1)
It would also be nice if there would be an option to erase all text in typing field.
I have lots of other development ideas but I save them for some other time ;)

not useless because you can use iphone as a remote to control mirrored ipad on big screen tv.in other words you dont have to get up off the couch to control mirrored ipad

am trying to buy this on cydia but it gives an error after trying for some time…have got ipod touch 3g on 4.3.2(jailbroken)…would love to install this as a keyboard for my ps3 but cant seem to get past the done btstack screen..help pls!!

Like the product, but this is the problem I have.
I cannot login with the WEBE++ keyboard. I have win7 64Bit, Cannot connect when at the login screen, but I can dot it with a logitech Bluetooth keyboard.

Just tried this after reading about it. Easy to connect to ps3 you just need to go into add bluetooth device and do a search and it pops up. The only gripe I have is it doesn’t work with playtv for some reason. It stops responding as soon as you launch playtv. Also would be cool if it could somehow turn on ps3 like the ps button on the controllers.

Like the product, but this is the problem I have.

Been a wish of mine for a while now to be able to control the PS3 (mainly keyboard) with the iPhone.
Was rapt to find this app and that it was easy to set up and it just worked.
Very impressed.

does it still work?
because currently with the ps3 being at v3.72, I can’t seem to pair it properly.
The ps3 finds the iphone (tried with a 3gs and a 4), I get the code, I enter it but then I get an error,
“An error occurred during the register operation.
Try to register again.”
And if I try again, it gives me that error again and won’t prompt the code screen, goes straight to that error unless I reboot the ps3 and try again, then I get the code screen but same result.
I feel it’s a Sony thing. Maybe what the developers need to do is find a way to spoof the BT MAC address to a sony one, preferably one that’s associated with BlueTooth keyboards and mice.

Same issues as 2 posts above me, worked fine 1st day, next morning it would connect to ps3 but nothing would happen. So I tried to re-pair it with the ps3 and now getting the same errors as about. Ps3 was not updated over night either. Mailed the developer weeks ago with no response…

You’re useless, you don’t seem to grasp what this cand do for you… If you have a computer this can let you use it from a distance or if you have a ps3 this will let you use your iphone as the keyboard other than having to write out the message with the controller (which is the longest process I’ver ever undergone) … Not to mention the keypad and mouse for iphone/itouch/ipad is primitive and has long been out
