Wi-Fi Sync 1.1 for Windows and iPad

Author: flukes1  //  Category: Apps

An update is now available for Wi-Fi Sync that brings support for Windows users, and also for the iPad.

If you don’t know about Wi-Fi Sync, it basically enables wireless syncing with iTunes at the touch of a button (just by opening the app).

This would be practical if it allowed you to still use your idevice while it’s syncing.

You can’t if you sync the traditional way so why would you expect that with an unwired alternative method?

I tried to download the windows version, but it was deleted by Norton. Norton claim it’s i virus.

  4. flukes1 Says:

That’s because Norton sucks, get Kaspersky or NOD32.

Is it possible to sync over 3G network? that would be cool.

Help! I can’t find where or how to purchase Wi-Fi Sync. I downloaded the package for my Mac, but need the app for my iPod.

Can anyone confirm the speed, whether it is alot slower than cable or only a slight difference?

i have been hearing alot that it is terribly slow, which will not be required as it doesn’t take that long to plug a cable into the computer.

    but i undertsand, it’s convenient.

Since you have to open an app to sync, why not try backgrounder to let the sync run in the background.

but, the iDevice has limited memory, and running a sync in the background can make it very, very slow.
Also, using the iDevice while an application is installing can cause problems, which will need the iDevice to be restored.

Are you going to further develop this app and the flaky windows driver program. I hope so ! I can usually sync one device after a P.C reboot, but once I start to try and sync a second device I more often than not have to reboot the P.C to get that device to pair. It seems as though the driver fails to return to being WiFi visible so the iDevice can’t find it– OHH I don’t know what it is but as soon as I reboot the PC I get the green Icon.

This app doesn’t work on Windows boxes anymore. V2 is supposed to fix it, but there’s no sign of it. The beta for Mac users works, so if you’re a mac user, you’re set. But PC users will have to suffer and wait for an update. Quite disappointing because I bought this software tonight thinking it would work.
