The Spoof project is a cool utility that allows iPhone users to change there Caller ID so the person you’re calling sees on his Caller ID display the number you chose.
The use of the app is very simple, all you need to do is set a CallerID and the number you want to call and press dial. You could also select these numbers directly from your contacts list.
We are not covering all countries because we do not have access numbers to all countries here are a list of some of countries we do support:
SpoofUS, SpoofCanada, SpoofItaly, SpoofRomania, SpoofIndia, SpoofSpain, SpoofGermania, SpoofRussia, SpoofFrance, SpoofSaudi, SpoofUAE, SpoofAustralia.
More countries are added all the time. If you want the spoof to work in your country please write to me, we can test some access numbers and set it up.
How does it work – The spoofing itself is done by a remote server that is called by your phone. Then your phone transmits (by digits tone) the CallerID and the number to call.
After the server gets the information it places a call to the number you want to call with the CallerID you set.
To access the remote server you phone dials an international access number, so international rates apply.
To check exactly how much a call cost look in your outgoing calls and check with your international carrier for the costs.
The international access number is the main problem of the app because they are not reachable from all networks and they are also not so stable.
If you encounter any problem with the app try calling again if it does not work please contact me and we will find a solution.
The main advantages of the app are:

- Its fun and cool
- Easy to use.
- No internet connection is needed
- You don’t have to prepay minutes or pin number or commit in any way just use as you need.
Before using the application please check with your carrier the cost for calling the international access number, which may be very expansive to call from some carriers.

jd – Yes we tried all the numbers for Australia it seems to work only for some networks
Hopefully next week we will upload a new version in thebigboss that will include all the existing countries and some new ones like Switzerland Portugal Brazil Hungary Netherlands.
The new version will also allow to change voice pitch while talking.

Hi All
I have a question regarding the cost of this international call :
When I use Fring with my French SIP account from the Internet Provider … Many international call are free ? And I added the VoipOver3G so no need to have a Wireless connexion…
So the call for SpoofProject will be free of charge ?

Hi,
I would like to use it in HUNGARY (call Hungarian mobile from Hungarian mobile).
Can you please setup Hungary?
Which international number will be called? One from the USA? I asked this because the charge is different for different countries.
Can the international number be changed?
Eg my Mobile carrier has an option to call an international number with prefix 000 or +0 instead of the normal 00 or + then it’s cheaper.

The app says in the description that USA is supported, but there isn’t a choice for USA when selecting you country. It’s not in the app or the website, but your update you posted previously said USA was to be included. Can you make USA work?????

Hi,
To all you guys that had problems with IOS 5 or with 4Gs that the callerid was not correct, the new version will fix your problem.
The problem was that the dtmf (the dialed digits) where going to fast to the server to recognize them.
We have done the changes needed and fixed the problem.
Please update us if any problem
