SBSettings 3.0 Soon part 2
Author: BigBoss // Category: Apps, Development, Jailbreak, RepositoryEdit: I packed this up and released it as v2.99. There are a couple more things I plan before 3.0 comes out, but this will get some good testing in. A couple notes, the install process should work, but if you have any weird problems, like respring just hangs with the respring screen up, reboot the iPhone and then send me email letting me know this happened. I am trying to avoid a reboot on install and want to make sure it’s working for the masses. Also, remember you must enable the status bar features in the more app!
Note: themes like leopard U/I that put javascript web content directly over the statusbar will prevent statusbar date and memory from showing up.
So I have still been working on SBSettings for 3.0 (and update for 2.x). In addition to the features listed in my previous post I have added:
- You can now have more than 12 toggles. (On the 3.0 OS). When you have > 12 toggles it will let you scroll like categories app or such.
- There is now an option to put the free memory in the statusbar. See:
- You can now select from several options to customize the behaviors of SBSettings:
- Enable or disable the U/I from lock screen
- Enable or disable the U/I during calls (for those of you that kept having the U/I activate on your cheek).
- Enable or disable the date in status bar.
- Enable or disable the memory free in status bar.
- Enable or disable numeric battery, wifi, or GSM (phone strength).
- Revamped the U/I on the more – extras screen.
- Internally, I have made the toggles SDK more extensible enabling direct access to system() calls within the toggles. I expect another small flood of new toggles like safari download, samba, or syslog toggles. These tasks were impossibly difficult on 1.x sbsettings and are now trivially simple.
Known Issues – Please READ THIS before you comment:
1) If your respring, SSH, or EDGE doesn’t work, you are one of the unlucky 3100 to get my bad pack. Reboot the iPhone and you should be ok.
2) If you hold wifi for more than 1 second to try to invoke the hold action, springboard will crash. I had debugging stuff in there that I forgot to remove. None of the toggles support invoke hold action yet anyway so there is no need to hold them.
3) If you saw fastnotes, location services, or processes uninstall on the update this is normal. They are now included in the core sbsettings.
4) I already know that there is some misaligned text on 2.0 mobile substrate screen. The font on 3.0 and 2.0 are sized differently by defaults. Will fix in next version.
5) If you are on 3.0 this will not work for you. Do not report that the more app crashes. It’s not a problem with sbsettings. It’s in your jailbreak. To properly make it work on 3.0 beta, you require a private, not yet released kernel patch and to fix your crashing on loading the more app, you need to install the package that includes dirname. (It will be installed on a real 3.0 release build). Look for one of the *-cmds packages like “adv-cmds”, “file-cmds”, “shell-cmds” or just install all 3.

Sweet! I can’t wait!
May 29th, 2009 at 5:01 am
by the way, I would love to have the ability to choose the wlan I’m connecting to via sbsettings. My neighbour’s wlan is a lot stronger than mine and therefore my iphone always connects to his, although I am most of the time not able to use his bloody wlan (we both still dunno why, his iphone isn’t able to log into the wlan as well). A small menu on double tap (or tap and hold)to choose the wlan would be great!
And I can’t wait for the update!
May 29th, 2009 at 5:22 am
now the only thing missing is – you can update now (:-)
May 29th, 2009 at 5:29 am
+1 !! :)
I can’t wait to update to 3.0! :-D
May 29th, 2009 at 5:38 am
a “mobile network data usage counter” in the statusbar would be great. placed on the same part of the bar where the free memory shows up
May 29th, 2009 at 6:13 am
Excellent work! Looking forward to it.
May 29th, 2009 at 6:35 am

Thanks great job

May 29th, 2009 at 6:46 am
Just to let you know, I held the WiFi toggle for more than 2 seconds and I ended up in Safe Mode :P
May 29th, 2009 at 6:56 am
Just got the update. Amazing. I can see that you are having big fun with this platform. , I can’t remember where I read that: “It’s rare that a gadget becomes more useful over time”. But thanks to you and others like you, this gadget that I got for a birthday present almost 2 years ago – which at the time did all that I needed/wanted – far exceeds what I could have imagined it would. , Thank you…

Something strange. When installing the new build it said it had to remove “Fast Notes”. (And it seemed to do this). When going back into Cydia and searching “fast notes” and picking install (to see what happens) it said it was incompatible (here is the weird part). Going into the More\Toggles “Fast Note” was still there just turned OFF. Turning it ON though put the toggle back and its working???
Anyone else?
May 29th, 2009 at 7:29 am
This means your network timed out mid download. It’s almost never a server side issue since the download actually starts (most server issues it won’t start at all). If you’re not on WiFi try WiFi.
May 29th, 2009 at 7:30 am
I moved fast notes, processes, and location toggles into the main settings pack. It had to remove the individual installs so that it could install them from the pack. (Thanks for reminding me, I need to pull those off cydia).
May 29th, 2009 at 7:50 am
I got the same problem as Pelaez.
Also, when will we be able to use custom pinstripe images, popup images and our own icons for the arrows? Someone over at MacThemes said it was being worked on…
May 29th, 2009 at 7:51 am
Great work, thanks. Have you ever thought about increasing the height of the brightness/volume sliders? It takes me quite often some trys to move the slider.
May 29th, 2009 at 7:55 am
I have a problem with the new version installed on firmware 3.0 beta 5: when i open the SBSettings bar and click “More” to configure it the settings screen appears and then disappears after a few seconds.
I’ve tried also to reboot the phone, but nothing has changed.
May 29th, 2009 at 7:57 am
Hello,
thanks for this wonderful software , but can you add the switch “DATA ROAMING” it’s really, really, really important when you travel a lot and you need so many click to use it :-<
Thanks !!!

In the menu of the “MobileSubstrate Addon” the text at the topo of the page is truncated after: “(Will be fine after the reboot). This…”
Don’t know if there’s something missing or the “This” is just a repetition of the beginning of the paragraph.

Sorry for the question,
What means U/I ?
May 29th, 2009 at 8:17 am
Excellent update! The SSH toggle works perfect now. I do have the “holding WiFi toggle for 2 secs leads to Safe Mode” issue mentioned above.
A request: could the status bar time, when it’s combined with memory use or date, be in 24hr-format optionally? Maybe it could follow the general clock settings in this respect (the one that the Preferences application gets from “is24HourTime:”), or there could be an option to make it 24h somewhere…
May 29th, 2009 at 8:22 am
Haha, I forgot. I was using that to debug stuff and test various hacks out. There’s no hold functionality in it yet. For now don’t do it :)
May 29th, 2009 at 8:22 am
On firmware 3.0 b5 when I open the SBSettings bar and tap MORE it crashes…
May 29th, 2009 at 8:24 am
The jailbreak on 3.0 is not ready. You require a properly patched kernel which isnt public and you have to manually install a bunch of stuff that comes with Cydia normally like adv-cmds, file-cmds, shell-cmds, system-cmds
May 29th, 2009 at 8:26 am
The Edge toggle is perfect now.
Thank you BB

Same here, crashes when tap MORE on OS3.0 Beta 5.
May 29th, 2009 at 8:30 am
Can someone expalin to me for what is that ?
(rellly I don´t know what means U/I ?
…Enable or disable the U/I from lock screen
May 29th, 2009 at 8:32 am
LISTEN,
THIS IS NOT the version ready for OS 3.0!
Understand? And BigBoss already said WHY several times!
So stop saying “crashes when tap MORE on OS3.0 Beta 5″ you tards
May 29th, 2009 at 8:32 am
Long live the boss, the BIGBOSS man I am so happy bro it’s not even normal LOL
May 29th, 2009 at 8:51 am
BB,
In your May 25th posting the status bar pic shows the date to the right of the time string in parentheses. In today’s posting it shows it to the left of the time string and hyphenated. Mine is the same way now. Is there an option to change it to the way it displays on the status bar image pic you show in your May 25th posting? Thanks!
May 29th, 2009 at 8:55 am
P.S. the first time I went in to activate some of the UI extra options my phone froze when exiting and returning to the home screen instead of respringing. I don’t see any other way I could have done a respring unless I could slide down the SBSettings menu on top of the “More” options and used the respring in the dock there? The respring is working on exit after that initial incident. Thanks.

Hey Boss I’m havin some issues with the new update:
-I go the fast notes “bug” too
-the truncated text on the MSB sets
-the ssh toggle is just a sittin dummy now; looks like it’s eternally On now, I switch it off then refresh then it’s on by itself. I checked with bossprefs and it was off even tho it showed on sbs as bein on.
-Also the Slide-Down-Window seems to be too low maybe by 2 or 3 pixels. The theme creatin guide said to leave a 20px invisible part for the status bar, but I guess there is nothing that can be done about it cuz there is a close button in the middle now (it is very handy, well exept on safari when I’m readin somethin n I have to scroll down again, no biggie)
May 29th, 2009 at 9:04 am
No, but there may be. I reworked it because I needed to make room for the free memory display.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:05 am
If you were one of the 3100 people that had 2.99 and not 2.99-1, this would account for the issue.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:09 am
Thanks, but what is U/I?
May 29th, 2009 at 9:09 am
1) There is no “fast notes bug”. If you’re referring to it being uninstalled in the upgrade I already answered why that’s not a bug.
2) The truncated text looks fine on 3.0. It appears two different default fonts were used. I’ll look at it in next version.
3) You probably got the 2.99 and need the 2.99-1 (or just reboot your iPhone entirely) and ssh should be working again.
4) I’ll look into the positioning of the window.

User interface
May 29th, 2009 at 9:27 am
Ah ofcourse, thanks! Would it possible to use the European time (military time) at the status bar? Whenever I’m selecting show ram or date i’m seeing the time now as 6.06, however I’m used to 18.06
May 29th, 2009 at 9:28 am
Yes. Will be an option.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:52 am
was going to update sbsettings but wait it was going to remove kill process and location toggle. is there a different method in new sbsettings for processes or do we have to wait for this toggle?
May 29th, 2009 at 9:54 am
quick question how do you get the percentage of battery life next to battery like in pic would like both like in image?
May 29th, 2009 at 10:44 am
Thanks and great work either way. Even having the date up there the way it is now is convenient! Ditto on 28 below, I did have 2.99 but I’ll go update right now. It seemed to be an isolated instance at any rate so it wasn’t a huge deal. Hard reboot was easy enough and it wasn’t annoying since it didn’t repeat itself. Cheers!
May 29th, 2009 at 10:46 am
Thanks BigBoss…
and thanks for answering all the comments on here too – they answered all the questions i had! :)
May 29th, 2009 at 10:47 am
Should work on 3.0 when it’s released by Apple if I’m assuming right from BB’s description. Or he’s still working on it and did not release it with the current version available to everyone.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:59 am
I don’t see v 2.99-1 in Cydia. I tried refreshing Cydia and nothing. I even reinstalled SBSettings to see if that would bring it up. No upgrade. Is it not out yet? I am on WiFi and it’s a strong bandwidth. I suppose an upgrade will come out sooner or later. Thanks.
May 29th, 2009 at 11:10 am
wifi toggle is not working for me (FW 2.2.1). Always worked perfectly in the previous version. It will turn red when I tap it, and switch to 3G icon on the status bar, but then the wifi icon will quickly switch back on on the status bar. I can still turn wifi on/off through settings, but not through SBS.
Love your progs btw.
Thanks!
May 29th, 2009 at 11:12 am
Yeah there is definately a bug in the window positionin when SBS has 3 rows of toggles.
Mine is 2px too low (I didn’t see that gap before) and the default theme overlaps the status bar also by 2px
May 29th, 2009 at 12:28 pm
Mason – i see the same behavior – wifi toggle doesn’t work at all.
May 29th, 2009 at 12:32 pm
I should have noted that I’m running 2.2.1 – not a 3.0 release and wifi toggle doesn’t work.
May 29th, 2009 at 12:53 pm
I am on 2.2.1 and my wifi toggle is not working either.
May 29th, 2009 at 1:30 pm
great work! However, I have aquestion: on your screenshot there’s the battery symbol and the numeric percentage in brackets beside it. When I use the “numeric battery” option there’s only the numeric display, the battery symbol isn’t there anymore. What have I to check in order to get both?
Thx a lot for your great work!
May 29th, 2009 at 1:42 pm
I want to make sure i block the edge on my phone as i do not have a data plan, can SBSettings accomplish this on 3.0 beta 5?
PS i love you guys

BigBoss,
Simply put, you’re the best. Awesome work.
But I discovered a simple tap within the frame (near the status bar)between two icons closes SBSetting windows, even with firmware 2.2!!!!
Plase give it a try. Double checked before posting.
May 29th, 2009 at 2:54 pm
Any of you guys with wifi toggle problems have understanding of how to use SSH? If so send me email.
May 29th, 2009 at 4:49 pm
For those on 3.0, and “More” crashes.
Make sure you have Core Utilities installed.
I’m on 3.0 beta 5, and SBSettings 2.99 works PERFECT !!!!!
Thank you BigBoss !!!!!!!
May 29th, 2009 at 5:03 pm

Using this new version on OS 2.1 and it works fantastic! One question: do the numeric Wifi and GSM work just like the numeric battery where I could tap on it to toggle from numeric to an image?
May 29th, 2009 at 8:38 pm
Nevermind, I tried and it is like the battery.
Thanks for the great app!
May 29th, 2009 at 9:44 pm
BigBoss… I am sure you have heard this thousands of times now… THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I have been fine with a few missing features on the beta releases and have been running the beta os since #1. This was the app that I found I missed most. Have been just hoping one day we would get a newer version. So many times I almost went back to 2.2.1 just for SBSettings… but figured I would stick it out. Tonight when I found this updated version I just about wet my pants. Thanks so much for you hard work.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
Hi, Big Boss, I’m just confused about one little thing. The Apple Killswitch by default is set to Off. Does it need to be On in order for it to work? Or does Off mean that the Killswitch is off? Thanks for your time.
May 29th, 2009 at 10:58 pm
Clarification, the toggles pack is 2.99-1 I finally noticed. That would have been helpful to know upfront.

I’m using SBSetting 2.9 with firmware 3.0 beta 5 and everything is working! Only the time in the taskbar is 12H setting and not in 24H setting as we use here in Europe. Can this be fixed?
Ans also a button to choose to have SSH on or off by default when starting the iPhone.
May 30th, 2009 at 3:37 am
Seems like 2.99 is showing active processes by a small black indicator on the bottom left of an icon. Is there a way to turn that behaviour off? It is kinda annoying. :-)
By the way, I’d also like a numeric battery _besides_ the graphic, just like in the screenshot above. But that doesn’t seem to be supported on firmware 2.2.1, eh?
The rest works just perfectly, many thanks.
May 30th, 2009 at 3:56 am
Hi!
Amazing work ure doing here with SBSettings, really appreciated. I’ve installed v2.99-1 (iPhone 2G, 2.2.1) and I have some issues with the wifi toggle.
First of all, everytime I reboot or turn on the device, the wifi toggle is ON (even if I had turned it OFF before rebooting).
Also, the first time I press on the Wifi toggle after rebooting, it does nothing and keeps on, nedding another press to turn it off.
Thanx for SBSettings ;)

((((((((((((((((((( FINALLY )))))))))))))))))))))
….we got the option to open SBS at/from LS. BUT! Is it possible to have it work with Intelliscreen´s LS too? When swipe to get SBS down the IS goes away!? :-( Can it be fixed with some “overlay”, or what it calls, from you Big Boss? I mean so both of those sceens works in the same area!?
May 30th, 2009 at 4:29 am
My wi-fi randomly turned itself on twice today, each time it happened I had shut down my ipod touch completely, restarted it and started playing music, after about a minute it turned wifi on by itself.
Thought it was just a glitch after I downloaded the new sbsettings so I rebooted and the same thing happened again except this time it was about 5 minutes after starting the ipod and wifi booted up again.
It hasn’t happened since though, anyone else have that problem?

It works great. But, since we have clock in L/S and liveClock in SB, time toggle in StatusBar will be nice; or no clock display at all to let Erica’s MIM works.

What the F*** with those spam.
Anyway, Thanks so much for the hard work BOSS!
May 30th, 2009 at 8:23 am
Heys creator …I dono your name , anyways
I’ve dled the v2.99 and unfortuatly Im finding a way to downgrade to the old one I had, this is because of memory usage, b4 my free memory was around 41, now it’s in the 25′s , please improve the memory usage for the new sbsettings, thx, really consider it. jsthd.
May 30th, 2009 at 9:17 am
Thanks, BB, works flawlessly, except for 2 things:
1. If I enable statusbar date – the clock display switches to 12h instead of 24h as per settings
2. Should apple killswitch be on or off?
I use iPhone 3G, OS 2.2.1 jailbroken
May 30th, 2009 at 9:43 am
Ooops, BB already answered the 24h clock issue, will wait for next release.
Just the Apple killswitch, pls!!!
May 30th, 2009 at 10:00 am
Small issue – the Processes app no longer lets you kill iPod after it has played a song.

May 30th, 2009 at 12:10 pm
Hey, I think would be nice the 24hours format :-)
May 30th, 2009 at 12:37 pm
WiFi always on after reboot.
After installing SBSettings 2.99 I noticed that after a reboot the WiFi is always ON, although it was turned off before. I notice the behaviour on 2 different phones, one having OpenSSH installed, the other one not having OpenSSH. I would understand that WiFi is always on when you have SSH on your phone to enable you to access it when the phone starts, but on a phone without SSH I would expect the WiFi not to turn on when the phone reboots if it was turned off before.
Please clarify! Thanks a lot

I think it means user interface? So you can choose to use SBSettings when your status bar glows green during calls. Just a guess. this stuff is so helpful. What a useful tool! Keep up the great work fellas. -helibubba

Hi, and thanks for this! Is a great addition to 3.0.
Just wanted to ask BB why you say it only will work with the private kernel patch on 3.0 beta 5… when it really does work with the public JB..
Thanks!
May 31st, 2009 at 2:38 am
Yeah, I guess WiFi is always on… even when the wifi icon is not shown. Im saying this because the battery life is much shorter and because the phone is way hotter now even if im not using it…
May 31st, 2009 at 2:52 am
Umm Well. Now we can get sb settings from the lock screen we can not get locked out because if you open it and click respring it unlocks it for you! :D

By the way, I got the SBSetting window to work with IS now. So no problem anymore. (Think it was just a reboot that fix it, oops.)
Thx BB!

Well, hmmm…. sorry to say. But I was wrong about SBSettings works with IntelliScreen at the LS after reboot! It does Not!
Damn! It mean if I need to open SBS from LS I have to unlock and go in to SB and back to LS to have the IS back. Damn.
Same as before when SBS not open from LS. :-(

You are out of disk space.

All the apps are just as precise. There are only a couple ways to get free memory on the system. Unfortunately the fields returned are open for some level of interpretation. I of course think my method is the best or I would have changed it :)
The best thing to do is just to pick one and use it as a relative measure. For example, if your iPhone usually fresh boots to 42mb and you see 15mb in your status bar and safari keeps crashing you know why.

The killswitch should be “ON” with a stock iPhone and “OFF” when you disable Apple’s ability to issue an appkill to your device.
May 31st, 2009 at 9:34 am
Try a reboot. There is no additional memory usage.

Unfortunately, Intelliscreen is not compatible with most plugins since they pretty much do their own thing and don’t even use mobile substrate.

June 1st, 2009 at 2:11 am
why does the wifi button not want to work for me?
June 2nd, 2009 at 6:48 am
BigBoss!!
So what u say is that there is no way for me to have those, SBSettings and Intelliscreen, two to work together at LockScreen?
June 4th, 2009 at 4:32 pm
Hey, the new version is great the only thing that is annoying me is that the little black indicator for active processes is constantly on for my phone and mail app is there anyway to turn it off? Tried killing the process but it just pops back on after a second.

user interface
June 9th, 2009 at 4:31 pm
The WLAN issue Might be due to the fact that you may have setup wps2 security. I believe that the iPhone can only handle wep, that fixed it for me on the router. Had as well as a time capsule, both that went from n and wps2 to n and wep. Hope that helps!

U/I means User Interface or the visual part of a program you interact with.
June 17th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
turn it off in the “More” menu under extras at the bottom

i can’t hide any icons
June 19th, 2009 at 6:48 pm
BB, Im using the new SB on 3.0. It works great. I usually hide all of my Icons but a few, and use quick gold to launch them. Unfortunately QG doesnt work on 3.0…. keeps crashing my Spring Board. Do you have a suggestion of any other app launcher I could use… or perhaps a work around to let the actual spotlight work to search for hidden icons. That would be optimal. I have tried Dock, and Quick Gold.
PS Thanks for all your hard work, I love your apps…
June 20th, 2009 at 5:47 am
I just jailbreaked with redsnow and the more app crashes most of the times
June 20th, 2009 at 11:41 pm
Hey BB,
thanks for the great program.
With OS3 I just upgraded from BossPrefs to SBSettings: WOW!
Just one question about the EDGE toggle (iPhone 2G). The toggle is off but the Data IP Adress is used sometimes and the “Cellular Network Data” is slightly increasing (about 0-1 KB per program call, which uses network connection).
With OS2.2.1 and before this didn’t happen.
Greetings,
andibo

Just updated to 3.0 SBSettings. Phone hung on ‘restart springboard’. Now won’t re-boot. Just hangs on pinapple logo.
Any help very very greatly appreciated!
June 22nd, 2009 at 5:11 am
same problem as killerbeets
Iphone 3g firmware 2.2
Phone hangs up and won’t restart springboard.
June 22nd, 2009 at 5:13 am
Fix for SBSettings 3.0 Springboard keeps restarting:
If u’re stuck on the pinapple logo do these steps:
1. ssh into your phone with winscp
2. go to Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries
3. delete the 2 files containing SBSettings (.dylib & .plist)
4. press ctrl+t and type in reboot
5. your phone will restart and all should be fine now without SBSettings until they fix it :D
Enjoy
June 22nd, 2009 at 5:25 am
Ah I didn’t know you could just delete them, never mind, ignore my comment below :)
June 22nd, 2009 at 6:12 am
And how do you SSH into the phone that you can’t even turn on? It has to be active. My Iphone 2G just froze after this update. Stands in Apple logo screen, hard reset cannot help. The only way is restoring (which I would rather avoid, because there is important data left on my iPhone…)
June 22nd, 2009 at 6:47 am
u can easily shh into it by keeping pressed both the home button and the power button until the phone restarts and then wait for a minute and then wi-fi is automatically turned on and u can ssh intro your iphone even if it’s not displaying your springboard but only your apple logo.
June 22nd, 2009 at 9:14 am
I guess I am out of luck. Can’t SSH into my iPhone vie CyberDuck. Not sure if SSH is turned on in the phone itself…
Is there another way to fix this issue? Web does not provide that many solutions…
June 22nd, 2009 at 11:07 pm
Just had to do a restore and update, then jailbroke and unlocked. Worked perfectly :)
Now I have OS 3.0
June 25th, 2009 at 12:15 pm

June 25th, 2009 at 12:34 pm
or can someone tell me how to delete apps from “dock” without entering “more”?? please help!
June 28th, 2009 at 3:24 pm
Hi,
Just jailbroke my iPhone 3G with 3.0OS on it, but can’t know if the ssh is on or off. I just can’t get the toggle to appear.
I tried to reboot it several times, but still nothing.
Any tip? Tks

I have the full 3.0 firmware jailbreak on my ipod touch 2g, and I just had it jailbroken this morning. As I downloaded SBSettings, everything downloaded, and I pressed “Reload SpringBoard”, only to find that it put me in an inescapable loading wheel loop. I can’t force shut down or put it in sleep mode, and the time still sayd 2:11 while it’s 3 o clock right now. Please please PLEEEASE Help! I can’t do anything until I get someone to help me out!

Hi! First of all good job! Wonderful app.
But……..after jb-ing my freshly delivered iPhone, with the newest OS and all, installing SBSettings with Cydia, and everything seeming to work well, every time i open an app, and press the home button, the SBsettings “top bar” disappears and i have to perform a soft reset…
Any ideas?? jb’d with purplera1n…

Battery Draining Really Fast with SBSettings v3.0.5 installed. I have tried to reinstalled and removed and reinsall again a few times. But each time I have SBSettings on my jailbroken iPhone 3GS v3.1.2, it just drains my battery quite rapidly. I had my battery on 99%, then I used SBSettings and I can see the battery draining so fast, and in less than maybe 10mins, it has gone from 99 to say 45%.
The problem is, it appears to be a fake drain. So, I plug it back in on the charger, then it magically comes back to where is supposed to be, ie. 95%.
The trouble is, if I leave it as is without plugging it back, it will go to red and my iPhone will just turn off or die.
This is so sad. Can someone let me know what is going on and is there a special settings or piece of code I need to include.

A *awesome* addon for SBSettings would be to display carrier in the SBSettings screen. (Since the 3.1.2 update made it disappear from the status bar)
Thanks! SBSettings is great.
